To use Tab Grabber‚Ñ¢, select the special Tab Grabber tool and use it to drag across any area of a QuarkXPress document page which contains user-defined tab settings. This selection procedure is very similar to creating a Quark text box. The selected area will then be "Marqueed" by the XTension for easy reference.
Once you have selected the area of the page to work with using the Tab Grabber tool, the following dialog will appear:

The Tab Grabber dialog is similar to Quark's "Tabs..." dialog. Values entered here will be applied to all user-defined tabs within the selected area. Each value is described below:
Alignment: Lets you change the alignment of all tabs in the selected area. Leaving this selection at "Don't Change" will retain the current alignment of all tabs within the selected area.
Nudge Amount: This value lets you "nudge" all tab settings within the selected area (either + or -). This nudge value is added to the existing tab position for each tab within the selected area. Enter a value of zero to leave existing tab positions unchanged.
Nudge Arrows: You can use the nudge arrows to interactively move all of the tab stops you have selected. This lets you position the tabs visually, without the need to enter a specific nudge value.
As you click the arrows, the nudge field will reflect the actual amount that is being applied. By default, a click on either arrow will move the tab stops 1 point. If you hold down the Option key while you click the arrow, the tab stops will move 1/10 of a point. The default nudge values can be changed by hitting the Prefs button (see the Preferences section for further details).
Fill Character: Check this box if you wish to apply a new fill character(s) to all tabs within the selected area.
You can use the Apply button to preview your changes. When you are satisfied, hit OK to accept the changes, or click Cancel and your document will not be changed.

Grabber‚Ñ¢ Undo Feature
All of the Grabber XTensions provide complete Undo/Redo capability. If you wish to Undo or Redo your changes, use the Grabber‚Ñ¢ menu (available under Quark's Edit menu), or use the Grabber Undo/Redo hot key sequence (Cmd-Option-Z).

Changing Multiple Areas
After changing one area of a page, you can quickly apply those same changes to a different area. Just hold down the Control and Command keys while you drag out the Tab Grabber marquee (notice that the cursor changes to an arrow rather than the crosshairs when you do this). The previous set of changes will be applied to the selected area instantly! To change your settings, just drag out the marquee without holding down the Control and Command keys and fill in the dialog as normal. Your new changes will be saved.
Tab Grabber "Hot Spots"
Tab Grabber lets you change only the tab settings you wish. To disable a setting, select Don’t Change from the popup menu (for Alignment), Enter zero for the nudge value, or un-check the Fill Character checkbox. To quickly reset an item, simply click on the title of the item. For instance, to change the Alignment selection to Don’t Change, just click on the words "Alignment:" which appear to the left of the popup menu. The selection will be reset instantly. This "Hot Spot" method allows you to change any setting very quickly.
